What to Expect During Your Veneers Procedure

Planning - Choosing the proper type and shade of veneers for your smile.

Preparation - Removing your outer enamel prepares the teeth for the veneers. Molds are made to assure proper fit.

Temporaries - Temporary veneers can be added to the teeth to allow for a more aesthetic look while the final veneers are being crafted in the lab.

Placement - Each veneer is bonded to it’s tooth.

Most patients opt for dental veneers made of porcelain, as they can provide natural-looking results and are durable, lasting around 25 years.

This type of veneer is composed of a ceramic shell and typically requires the dentist to reduce the applicable tooth a minimal amount to create the most precise fit possible.

Prepless Veneers

No-prep veneers require no reduction of the tooth before their placement and may provide a beautiful, conservative option for the ideal candidates.

Prepless veneers are incredibly thin shells, made from porcelain, which hides most of the same imperfections as standard veneers.

The material used is not quite as durable as porcelain, with an expected wear cycle of five to eight years.

Although they are more affordable in the interim, they may cost more money over time due to the shortened life cycle.
